Grown with the market since 2000

Since its founding in 2000, tarakos has been developing taraVRbuilder for the 3D planning and visualization of facilities and processes — continuously adapting the software to new market requirements ever since. This long-standing dialogue with customers from intralogistics, automation technology, mechanical engineering, automotive, the furniture industry, and other sectors has produced a standard software product that most users can apply directly to their planning tasks — no customization needed, ready to use right away.

When standard software isn’t enough

Some customers need additional customization, extensions, or their own libraries for their specific facility types and components. In individual cases, the software’s core has even been used for entirely unrelated solutions — for example, generating layout plans for insulation panels. Cases like these are exactly what show how adaptable taraVRbuilder is for very different kinds of planning tasks.

From an AutomationML-based approach to the standalone software taraXchange

It started with a concrete pain point: taraVRbuilder was difficult to integrate into customers’ existing toolchains in intralogistics. AutomationML offered a way forward — the data format developed by AutomationML e.V. for cross-vendor data exchange in facility planning. That’s how taraXchange came about: initially as a tool for AutomationML connectivity, and today a piece of software that goes far beyond simply converting to and from AutomationML, closing data gaps between very different systems.

Also used in higher education and vocational training

At universities, technical colleges, and vocational academies, students use taraVRbuilder for their own planning assignments; vocational schools also use the software to train warehouse logistics specialists.
